Paul Doust is an award-winning composer, specializing in choral works as well as original compositions for film, television, commercials, and other screen media. Originally from Sydney, Australia, Paul currently lives and works out of New York City.
Paul’s studied composition at the University of Sydney (B.A. 2006), receiving the Frank Albert Prize for Music in successive years. Paul completed a Graduate Diploma in Screen Music (2010) from the Australian Film Television and Radio School. He also performed and composed original choral works for the Sydneian Bach Choir under the leadership of Greg Platt and Christopher Shepard (2010-11).
Paul moved from Sydney, Australia to New York in 2012 as part of the “ArtStart” extraordinary talent grant through the Australian Council of the Arts. Since moving to New York, Paul has written primarily for the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus including “As The Rain”, a finalist in the “Capital Hearings Choral Competition” in 2014.
